Teller County is located on the western slope of
much of the Pikes Peak and Rampart Ranges in central Colorado.
It is a predominantly rural county with Woodland Park (a "bedroom
community" for many commuting to Colorado Springs) as its largest city. Cripple Creek is the county seat.
The county is known for it's rich mining history in the towns of Cripple Creek and Victor, and it is the home of the Fossil Beds National Monument and Mueller State Park.
